Dr. Reuter takes a special interest in the human-animal bond. She welcomes children to listen to their puppies’ heartbeat in the exam room, she enjoys hearing clients share funny dog-antic stories, and she’s always there to hold the hand of owners saying good-bye to their ailing pet. For Dr. Reuter every day brings something new and fulfilling. Dr. Reuter’s hobbies and interests include hiking, backpacking, running, skiing, cooking, and traveling. She and her husband, Dr. Jon Reuter, live in Carmel Valley with their 2 sons, 2 dogs, 3 cats, 2 mice, a gecko, and a tank full of fish.
Dr. Rani Reuter was born in Santa Barbara, California and grew up in Laramie, Wyoming. After graduating from UC San Diego with a BS in cell biology/biochemistry in 1992, she attended UC Davis and earned her doctor of veterinary medicine (DVM) in 1996.
